John Hicks Independent Financial Advice has a simple philosophy: clear advice and thoughtful strategy to support clients in making confident financial decisions. We build this philosophy on top of a foundation of ‘Independence” as per the legislated meaning for financial planning which requires removal of any unreasonable conflicted interests (i.e. being paid or owned by financial product providers).
Option One: Book a call
The first step towards advice with our team is to click on the “book a call” tab (top-right) and arrange a complimentary introductory call. This introductory call provides an opportunity to ask some initial questions about the way we provide advice, share a little about the areas of advice you are seeking support over and discuss any fees.

Our main address for face-to-face meetings is at 201/175B Stephen St, Yarraville VIC 3013. Our office has:
- Ample free street parking available.
- Lift access.
- Ramp access.
- Male-only toilets, Female-only toilets and a Unisex toilet.
- Opening hours are Monday-Friday, 0800;1730 (meetings by appointment only).
We are also set-up for full online-only delivery of advice with ‘teams’ video in addition to our face-to-face service.
